I have retained The Essay Expert LLC to work with me on my writing project.
I understand that I will be working with my consultant via phone, internet and/or fax, unless explicitly arranged otherwise prior to the start of the consulting package.
If I am dissatisfied with my consultant at any time during the service, The Essay Expert’s Customer Service can reassign me upon request. Customer service can be reached at 718-390-6696 or 608-467-0067, or through The Essay Expert Web Form.
Time and Scheduling Policy:
For Hourly Rate Packages:
I will receive one 15-minute free consultation with my consultant.
After the initial 15-minute consultation, all time my consultant spends on my project will be counted toward my hours purchased. Billable consultant activities include but are not limited to: editing my work; writing copy, web design, phone calls, tutoring sessions, email correspondence, and research conducted on my behalf.
Consultants keep a record of all time spent with me, and will notify me of the remaining time in my package on a regular basis and/or upon my request.
I will promptly notify The Essay Expert customer service at 718-390-6696 or 608-467-0067, or through The Essay Expert Web Form, if there is a discrepancy between the time my consultant has recorded that he/she has spent with me and what I have recorded.
If my consultant and I schedule a phone call at a specific time and I need to cancel it for any reason, I must contact my consultant 24 hours ahead of time to do so. If I do not provide 24-hours’ notice and/or I miss a call, 30 minutes will be deducted from the hours purchased in my consulting package.
For Resume and Cover Letter Services:
I will receive one 15-minute free consultation with a consultant from The Essay Expert.
This service is project-based and my consultant will work with me on the project to completion.
If my consultant and I schedule a phone call at a specific time and I need to cancel it for any reason, I must contact my consultant 24 hours ahead of time to do so.
For All Services:
My consultant will respond to my calls and emails within 2 business days and will return written comments within 3-5 business days, unless a vacation has been communicated in advance.
I will be notified in advance by my consultant if he or she plans to be unavailable for a period of time longer than 2 business days (for special circumstances including business travel, vacations, etc).
Consultant’s Responsibilities:
My consultant will provide writing and editing services for my project.
My consultant will provide me with feedback regarding how the intended audience will perceive my resume, application, letter, website, essay or project.
My consultant will critique the content and style of my written work, and determine how to best present my company and/or my experiences and accomplishments.
My consultant will work with me to improve the quality of my writing project. I understand, however, that consultants cannot guarantee me a job, grade, promotion, or clientele.
My consultant will assist in structuring my time for completing my project.
If I am working on an academic paper, I understand that my consultant will assist me with organization, structure, and research direction only and will not write my paper for me.
Client’s Responsibilities:
I understand that it is ideal to begin working with my consultant as far in advance of my deadline as possible. The Essay Expert will not be responsible for missed deadlines.
Upon being matched with a consultant, if I have any questions or concerns about the service, I will contact The Essay Expert at 718-390-6696 or 608-467-0067, or through The Essay Expert Web Form.
For academic papers: I will draft, refine and finalize my own essays/papers, and incorporate my consultant’s feedback/suggestions when appropriate. I understand that my consultant will not write my paper for me.
For resumes, cover letters, web content and professional writing projects: I will provide feedback to my consultant to ensure my resume, cover letter, website or writing project meets my goals and says what I want it to say.
I am responsible for direct correspondence with my targeted employers/organizations.
I will fill out any surveys or questionnaires sent by my consultant or by The Essay Expert as completely as possible.
I will advise The Essay Expert of any changes in my contact information.
I agree to conduct all financial business through The Essay Expert. I understand that my consultant is not authorized to enter into private financial agreements with me, and that to do so would be a violation of his/her legal agreement.
Refund Policy & Fees:
If my credit card is declined or my check returned, my service will not begin until the transaction is approved (Please note: returned checks are subject to a $20 handling fee).
I am entitled to a 100% refund minus a $25 processing fee if I have not begun working with my personal consultant and no more than one year has passed since I purchased the service.
For hourly rate packages: After 30 minutes or more of my purchased hours are used, I am entitled to receive a refund of half the purchase price for each of my whole, unused hours.
For non-hourly rate packages: Partial refunds are available for incomplete packages. However, for resume and cover letter packages, once The Essay Expert has sent me an initial draft of my cover letter or resume, no refunds will be offered. I will call customer service to discuss details if I choose not to complete my package.
I must arrange to start utilizing The Essay Expert’s service within one year of the purchase date. If I have paid in full and do not begin the service within a year of the purchase date, my hours will expire and I will forfeit my eligibility for a refund. NOTE: A free 15 minute consultation is considered starting my service.
For resume packages: After my free 15 minute consultation, I must use my package or request a refund within the time frame detailed for that package, as follows:
Cover Letter Package: 30 days
Basic Package: 30 days
Double Value Package: 60 days
Deluxe Package: 90 days
I understand that my hours will expire and I will forfeit my eligibility for a refund after the expiration of my package.
