Brenda holds a B.A. in English from Yale University (class of 1991, magna cum laude) and a J.D. from the New York University School of Law (class of 1998, cum laude). She is trained by the Coaches Training Institute as a life coach and has ten years’ experience coaching individuals and companies on their writing projects. Brenda practiced law for ten years in New York City and is now a J.D. Career Advisor at the University of Wisconsin Law School Office of Career Services, as well as a writing coach and owner of The Essay Expert.
Brenda’s expertise lies not just in creating an effective product, but in listening closely to her clients’ background and goals. Clients report that they gain clarity about themselves and their message, in addition to having that message expressed on the page.
Jennifer Weld, Resume Writer
Jennifer received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from Cornell University. She is a marketing professional with over 13 years of experience across a wide-range of industries including higher education, computer software, consumer goods and hotel amenities, at such firms as Unilever, Viacom and Marubeni. Areas of expertise include project and program management, research, and marketing campaign development. Most recently she was the Assistant Director of Admissions for the Cornell Executive MBA Program, where she honed her skills in resume review and application writing.
Rebecca Hull, Business Writer – Marketing, Business Plans, B2B, Press Releases
A graduate of Yale University, Rebecca Hull holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Columbia School of Business. Becky has over 20 years' experience in marketing and business management at companies such as Citibank, MasterCard, Digital Insight (since acquired by Intuit), Home Savings of America and IndyMac Bank. Her most recent projects have included a channel analysis of credit card programs and creation of a marketing plan for a green trade show display company.
Becky brings a strategic perspective to her projects, based on her work in advertising, public relations, strategic planning, product development, branding and marketing services across a variety of industries. Her extensive experience includes success with corporations in all aspects of business writing, including business plans; redesigning of companies’ websites; creating marketing programs; and effectively handling all communications with media, internal staff and clients during company transitions. A graduate of the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Tammy holds a Master’s degree in East Asian Studies with a concentration in Japanese. She has worked for 18 years in international software marketing and development, filling roles in technical documentation, project management, quality assurance and training. She has consulted for such clients as Amazon.com, Compuware, Ask.com, Harte-Hanks/Trillium Software, Mail.com, Rational Software, L.L. Bean and Target Corporation. Tammy brings practical knowledge of the development of product documentation, from ReadMe files to User's Guides and Help Files, as well as experience designing communications for a competitive global market.
